Alternative Energy

Creststreet has been a pioneer in the alternative energy sector in Canada, making its first private alternative energy investment in 2001. Since that time, Creststreet has assembled one of the largest and most advanced renewable energy development pipelines in Canada and financed the development, construction and operation of over 148 MW of installed renewable power generating capacity. Creststreet has financed over $500 million for capital investment in renewable power projects, launched Canada's first windpower income fund and built Canada's first publicly financed merchant renewable power facility. Due to changes to Canadian income fund taxation laws in 2006, Creststreet completed the sale of all direct interests in renewable energy assets to some of North America's largest electrical power generation utilities.

Creststreet now utilizes its extensive Alternative Energy knowledge and experience to evaluate a broad array of public high growth investment opportunities in the alternative energy sector. This includes all non carbon-based sources of energy including solar, wind, tidal, geothermal, biomass and run of river.
